PIRSA is searching for Marine Biotoxin Chemist within the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI). In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing, coordinating and delivering the operations of the Marine Biotoxin Laboratory — the engine room behind South Australia’s harmful algal bloom (HAB) and biotoxin monitoring and R&D program.

GEOMAR is searching for a scientist to join their team. This is a 2-year, 100% salary position within the transdisciplinary ROVKA project on the productivity and vulnerability of brown algae meadows (Fucus serratus, Saccharina latissima) in the Baltic Sea. Australia’s harmful algal bloom (HAB) and biotoxin monitoring and R&D program. The successful candidate will (i) design and conduct population genetic surveys and analyses for diversity, structure and connectivity, and (ii) supervise regular sampling and maintenance of mesocosm and additional laboratory experiments to quantify the blue carbon potential of Baltic brown algae populations.
